In Matthew 18 Jesus specifically says the same thing to all the apostles, so whatever it means for Peter to have the keys to the kingdom and the ability to bind and loose, the other apostles also have the same power. And Simon Peter answering said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. In Greek, nouns have gender, feminine, masculine, or neuter, and each gender form is spelled slightly differently. Peter and the other disciples are not any more intelligent than the crowds. One who is in charge of erecting a building knows how important it is to have the proper foundation.
